Enzo Trotto

(Undergraduate Research) Undergraduate student in Neuroscience at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), expected to graduate in 2026. Served as a project manager at the Academic Neuroscience League (NeuroLiga) for six months in 2023. In 2024, participated in undergraduate research on acculturation among native Brazilians and Norwegian immigrants.

Intern at the Instituto Estadual do Cérebro Paulo Niemeyer (IECPN), where he presented a project for the early detection of tumors causing refractory epilepsy through machine learning. Currently involved in the volumetric and white matter integrity analysis of the thalamus in patients with type 1 diabetes, applying tractography techniques and utilizing tools such as FreeSurfer, FSL, and MRtrix.

Presently engaged in two research projects: (1) (FAPERJ fellow) “Data analysis on child development for machine learning applications in detecting factors associated with developmental delays,” in collaboration with the Pontifical Catholic University and the University of Oregon; and (2) “Neurofeedback for the management of comorbid neuropathic pain in people with diabetes” at the Behavioral Assessment Laboratory of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
